WHO IS THE COURSE FOR
Entry requirements specify that students must be working in a human service environment for at least 10 hours per week as a team member/manager/PIC/PPIM. This is vital to the applied nature of the programme, so that learners may both learn from their work environment and apply theory to it. It also allows for a mentorship arrangement in the workplace so that learners have a guide in this application of learning.
Students come to the College with significant life and work experience. This enables them to draw on real life experience while studying, and consider the application of theory to everyday work practice. They have their own set of values and opinions and are highly motivated to learn as they have actively sought out the course of study and want to meet the ever-increasing requirements of the emerging regulatory environment they now work in.
