CPD Short Courses – Spring Schedule 2020

The OTC has launched their Spring schedule for their short courses. The College has delivered level 5-7 major awards for many years, as well as a wide range of special purpose and minor awards in the areas of social care, management, further education and CPD.

The courses are delivered through the innovative blended learning model making them ideal for busy professionals and people interested in exploring these areas in a way that is flexible and accessible. (See more on our Supported Open Learning Model here).

The Manager as Coach & Mentor

Commencing March 9th, 2020. This six-week course has been developed for the experienced manager who currently holds a senior post within the organisation or aspires to hold such a post in the future. Read more here

Key Management Skills

Commencing April 6th, 2020. This level 6 minor award will increase your ability to lead, motivate and manage a team. Read more here.

HR Management and Supervision

Commencing May 5th, 2020,  this six-week Level 6 course is designed to provide you with a working knowledge of the importance, role and function of Human Resource Management. Read more here

Supporting Individualised Living & Alternative Services

May 5th, 2020:  This skills workshop is a must for key decision makers and Social Care professionals, providing new material based on international best practice and quality which influence how services are delivered within the wider non-profit/human services setting. Read more here.

Quality & Risk in Service Delivery

This six week course, commencing May 11th, 2020, provides learners with the opportunity to explore the critical topic of quality and risk within services for people with disabilities. The course explores an externally imposed quality system in the form of Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). Read more here

Cert in Training and Development

Commencing May 15th, 2020. A twelve week course that provides participants with the tools to identify training needs and design skills to deliver quality training. Read more here.
