CPD Short Courses – Autumn/Winter Schedule 2022

The OTC has launched the Autumn 2022 schedule of short CPD Certificate courses. The College has delivered level 5-7 major awards for many years, as well as a wide range of special purpose and minor awards in the areas of social care, management, further education and CPD.

The courses are delivered through the innovative blended learning model making them ideal for busy professionals and people interested in exploring these areas in a way that is flexible and accessible. (See more on our Supported Open Learning Model here).

Supporting and Working with Families

Sept 16th, 2022: This accredited Special Purpose Level 7 course equips the student with a thorough understanding of family-centred ways of working so that the person being supported can achieve the universal good things of life.

Key Management Skills

Sept 23rd, 2022: The six-week course takes contemporary key management skills in human service management and analyses them in terms of their practical usefulness to managing in the human services and non-profit sector.

Autism, Wellbeing and Positive Behaviour Supports

Sept 26th, 2022: An accredited programme that focuses on how to effectively support staff who work with individuals on the autistic spectrum which also explores promoting wellbeing and quality of life.

Focus on the Individual

Commences online Oct 10th: This accredited Level 6 course examines how a person centred plan is implemented, facilitated and evaluated.

Commencing Autumn, 2022. A twelve week course that provides participants with the tools to identify training needs and design skills to deliver quality training.

Empowerment and Advocacy

Nov 14th, 2022: This accredited Level 6 course equips the student with the knowledge, skills and competencies to support people with disabilities in empowering themselves on a day-to-day basis, facilitating self-defined visions of a desirable future
