CPD Short Courses – Spring/Summer Schedule 2022

The OTC has launched the Spring/Summer 2022 schedule of short CPD courses. The College has delivered level 5-7 major awards for many years, as well as a wide range of special purpose and minor awards in the areas of social care, management, further education and CPD.

The courses are delivered through the innovative blended learning model making them ideal for busy professionals and people interested in exploring these areas in a way that is flexible and accessible. (See more on our Supported Open Learning Model here).

Supporting Independent Living and Alternative Services

Commencing May 3rd, 2022: Learn new approaches in relation to creating, designing and progressing individualised services in Ireland today. This workshop webinar is a must for key decision makers and Social Care professionals.

Empowerment and Advocacy

Commencing April 21st, 2022: This accredited Level 6 course equips the student with the knowledge, skills and competencies to support people with disabilities in empowering themselves on a day-to-day basis, thus facilitating self-defined visions of a desirable future

Key Management Skills

April 25th, 2022: The six-week course takes contemporary key management skills in human service management and analyses them in terms of their practical usefulness to managing in the human services and non-profit sector.

Cert in Training and Development

Commencing late Spring, 2022. A twelve week course that provides participants with the tools to identify training needs and design skills to deliver quality training.

Cert in Managing for Regulation and Inspection

May 9th, 2022: This 6-week course encourages the student to reflect on the importance of getting regulation and inspection right within their role and the impact both have on the organisation, staff and service users.
