CPD Short Courses – Winter Schedule 2019-20

The OTC has launched their Winter schedule for their short courses. The College has delivered level 5-7 major awards for many years, as well as a wide range of special purpose and minor awards in the areas of social care, management, further education and CPD.

The courses are delivered through the innovative blended learning model making them ideal for busy professionals and people interested in exploring these areas in a way that is flexible and accessible. (See more on our Supported Open Learning Model here).

Empowerment & Advocacy

This Level 6 course, commencing Nov 2019,  equips the student with the knowledge, skills and competencies to support people with disabilities in empowering themselves on a day-to-day basis. Read more here

Cert in Training and Development

Commencing Feb 2020. A twelve week course that provides participants with the tools to identify training needs and design skills to deliver quality training. Read more here.

Cert in Supported Employment

Commencing Spring 2020. A Level 7 Special Purpose award. the course is targeted at those involved in supported people to access mainstream work through job coaching and employment facilitation. Read more here.

Key Management Skills

Commencing Jan 2020. This level 6 minor award will increase your ability to lead, motivate and manage a team. Read more here.

HR Management & Supervision

Commencing Jan 2020. This six-week course is designed to provide you with a working knowledge of the importance, role and function of human resource management, particularly in relation to the non-profit and human services sector. Read more here

Managing Service Quality & Safeguarding

This six week course, commencing Jan 2020, takes contemporary best practices in service quality and safeguarding and supports you to manage these areas in the human services and non-profit sector. Read more here
